Our schools are getting better and have gotten better.” Mr. Ramaswamy was in Wauseon on Monday with his running mate, state Sen. President Rob McColley (R., Napoleon), and the Republican nominee for Ohio’s 9th congressional district, Derek Merrin. The candidate thanked Mr. Zimmerman for the question and said he believes the current system penalizes schools that are doing well while rewarding those that are doing worse. “This is an example of where I expect to work with people in both parties,” Mr. Ramaswamy said. “There’s bipartisan support

The Eagles outgained the Generals in total yards 327-131. The defensive effort helped Clay (7-0, 2-0 NLL) pitch its second shutout of the season. “My hat is off tonight to our defense,” Clay head coach Derek Pennington said. “I challenged them on Sunday. I don’t think we played very well defensively against Findlay, and I challenged the staff and kids. We had a great week of practice and preparation. To hold them to zero and shut out a Buckeye team, a very good program in Anthony Wayne … I’m really proud of our defensive staff and defensive players for playing like they did.” Echelberry finished 16 of 29 for 141 yards and two passing touchdowns.
