JERUSALEM Twsp., Ohio (WTVG) - The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body of a Holland man pulled from Anchor Pointe Marina in Jerusalem Township Wednesday. According to a press release from the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, the body of Troy Valentine, 62, was pulled from the water in Jerusalem Township around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Adrian murder case to stay in Lenawee County Circuit Court
ADRIAN — A murder case against a man accused of taking part in a shooting that killed another man in February 2023 in Adrian will proceed in Lenawee County Circuit Court. Circuit Judge Michael R. Olsaver on Wednesday denied a motion to quash the bindover from Lenawee County District Court of open murder and firearms charges against Kenyatto Tiwaine Sylvertooth, 48, of Detroit. Sylvertooth and Gage Michael Winsett, 18, of Adrian are each charged in the death of 27-year-old Jonathan Marquise Simmons of Detroit. Simmons was shot in an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles on the afternoon of Feb. 13, 2023, near the intersection of South Tecumseh and Frank streets.
Holland man's death preliminarily ruled drowning
The preliminary ruling in the death of a Holland man recovered Wednesday afternoon from Lake Erie near Anchor Pointe Marina is drowning, according to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office. Troy J. Valentine, 62, of the 1900 block of Roycroft Road, had been missing since the night of April 14. The investigation continues.
