Warrant out for man who put woman in choke hold
New Berlin, Pa. — A warrant is out for the arrest of a New Berlin man who allegedly assaulted a woman and put her in a choke hold, police say. State police at Milton filed assault charges against Ilya Mikailovich Mironenko, 39, after responding to the domestic incident around 11 p.m. Saturday at a home on Green Street. When police arrived, the female accuser told them Mironenko had struck her in the face, bit her, and put her in a choke hold before fleeing from the home, according to Trooper Nathan Wenzel. Police filed a felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault charge, and summary harassment at the office of District Judge Jeffrey Mensch in Mifflinburg.

Beavertown Man Forcibly Taken into Custody for Assault
BEAVERTOWN – The Daily Item reports a Beavertown man was forcibly taken into custody and charged with assault involving four young children and a woman. Nicolas Fuette Jr. is accused of resisting arrest when he was taken into custody by Middleburg Police Wednesday morning at a home in Beavertown. The Daily Item reports Fuette was arrested for domestic assault and the victims were children ages 18 months, 2, 5 and 7 and a 23-year-old female. He is being held in the Snyder County Jail on $100,000 bail.

“ACCIDENT NEAR MILLERSBURG: A rear end collision occurred last Sunday morning, about four o’clock, one mile south of Millersburg, when Erie Mail No. 3 north bound ran into the caboose and several cars of a freight train. The conductor and flagman of the freight, and the fireman of No. 3 were killed, and the engineman of the passenger [train] was cut and bruised about the head. The accident happened during a dense fog and while the train was rounding Berries Mountain.
