Sunbury, Pa. — A Sunbury man was aquitted of murder charges last week following a two-day trial in Northumberland County Court. A jury found Ajani Munsh-Ousha Uhuru, 25, of Sunbury not guilty of a first degree murder charge and felony aggravated assault - attempt to cause serious bodily injury with extreme indifference. Those were two of seven charges he faced following a homicide at a Sunbury food mart in 2022. ...
Two men charged with stealing drilling rig from Pa. business, then exporting it
WILLIAMSPORT — Two men have been charged in a conspiracy in which a drilling rig stolen in Union County in 2021 was exported to the Dominican Republic. An indictment unsealed Monday in U.S. Middle District Court charges Magandy Reynoso Tejada and Carlos Brizuela Yera with interstate transportation and conspiracy to transport stolen property in interstate commerce.

Police: Woman cited for assault at treatment center
Allenwood, Pa. — A 40-year-old woman was cited for allegedly pushing and shoving another woman at a treatment facility in Union County. Holly L. Streeter, of Homestead, was White Deer Run of Allenwood treatment center on May 12 when she got into a verbal altercation with a 48-year-old woman of Depew, N.Y. Trp. Matthew Lesher of state police at Milton says Streeter pushed and punched the female accuser in the head and face. Man busted for second time stealing sports trading cards
Selinsgrove, Pa. — A Shamokin man who was recently arrested for retail theft was charged again, after police traced him to the theft of more than $1,000 of sports trading cards. Donald James Ponatoski, 38, is now facing felony charges for the thefts that allegedly occurred between February and April at the Selinsgrove Walmart store. Trp.
