Iowa City — A popular 90s rock star is coming to the University of Iowa (UI) to help educate Hawkeye students about music theory and composition. Musician, Sam Young, spent much of the 90s touring across the nation with The Samples. During that time, they sold a million albums. Young also preformed as a drummer for DeVotchKa, a multi-instrumental and vocal group. That group has 400,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
