All families and staff were informed earlier this week. They shared in a statement, “Before 2020, the Downtown Cedar Rapids KinderCare center was a popular choice for downtown employees. Since the pandemic, changes in work patterns and families relocating to the suburbs have significantly impacted our center’s enrollment. Despite operating the center at a loss for several years in hopes of a recovery, we haven’t been able to find a sustainable way to keep the center open.Earlier this week, center management personally informed all families and staff that Downtown Cedar Rapids KinderCare will close on December 11.Our focus now is on supporting our teachers and families who are impacted by this decision. We’re working closely with each of them to help them transition to other KinderCare centers in the Cedar Rapids area."</div></body>
