ANSONIA – On Tuesday, at approximately 6:38 p.m., Darke County Deputies were dispatched to 308 Winbigler Street in Ansonia, in reference to a breaking and entering complaint. Deputies were advised a pick-up truck was parked at the property, and multiple people were going in and out of a shed also located on the property.
Fort Recovery woman life flighted after a head-on crash involving a semi in Van Wert County
VAN WERT, OH (WLIO) - A Mercer County woman was seriously hurt in a crash between a semi and a minivan in Van Wert County this morning. Van Wert Sheriff deputies were called out to a head-on crash on US 224 and Old Tile Factory Road just before 7 a.m. Wednesday morning. They say the minivan was driven by Carrie Jo Lamm of Fort Recovery and the semi by Ronald Sallee, of Niles, Michigan. Lamm was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated. She was flown to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne and is listed in serious condition. Sallee had minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

CELINA - A deep fryer exploded and a fire broke out in the kitchen of Shandy's Grill and Bar on Monday morning, leaving one employee injured and causing minor damage. The Celina Fire Department responded to the restaurant at 129 W. Fayette St. after receiving a call from Mercer County Central Dispatch at 9:10 a.m., according to fire chief Joel Lange.

WAPAKONETA — The Armstrong Air & Space Museum will be hosting a brand new fundraising event, “Horizons,” set to take flight Saturday, March 16th. The proceeds from the night will go towards the museum’s initiative of supporting economically challenged schools and clubs across the area with limited access to STEM programming.

If you answered yes to that question, you might want to check out the new restaurant The Panther’s Den, which is located in Rockford at 101 N Main St (where Subway used to be). According to this social media post from the local chamber of commerce, the new restaurant celebrated its grand opening on February 15 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Each academic month two students each from grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 are selected as Rotary Students of the Month by the staff and administration of Celina High School. These students introduce themselves to the Rotary members each time and enjoy lunch courtesy of the Celina Rotary Club. Once each student reaches their senior year they are eligible to apply to receive one of the four $2,000 Annual Rotary scholarships. Those who choose to attend WSU Lake Campus have an additional $1,000.
