These Are The Highest-Rated Pizza Restaurants in Detroit
Pizza is one of those universal languages that Americans just get. Even if the styles are vastly different based on the region—like a thin wide slice from New York, a thick square cut with crispy edges from Detroit, or deep cheesy pie in a pan from Chicago—many can agree that the combination of chewy dough, tangy sauce, and gooey cheese is a true American classic. The growing number of pizza joints is enough proof: more than 73,000 pizza restaurants were logged in the United States in 2023. New details surface in officer-involved shooting on Interstate 5 in Linn County
COBURG, Ore. – New details have surfaced in a deadly officer-involved shooting last month in which one man died and a woman was injured. Court documents provide details on what investigators knew when they responded to a Shell gas station in Coburg near Interstate 5 on April 28 where police found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the front seat of a car. A search warrant affidavit filed in Lane County Circuit Court said that the male victim, Michael Glover, was in his 2001 grey Toyota Camry with his girlfriend and her brother, who is also Glover’s best friend, when Glover noticed his license plates were gone. Glover reported the theft just after 1 p.m. and less than two hours later, when Glover was at the Coburg Shell station, he spotted his plates on another older green Camry, the police officer’s report said.
Blue River locals to celebrate rebuilding of key structures and homes this weekend
The McKenzie Corridor community of Blue River, Oregon, continues to rebuild, nearly four years after a wildfire leveled most of it. As traffic zipped by on Highway 126 earlier this week, construction crews operated hand tools and heavy machinery on several buildings. Thousands of charred and spindly trees covered the hillsides, a reminder of the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire which destroyed more than three-fourths of the downtown area, and burned more than 173,000 acres.
