D.A. Brooks Baker says Jason Chabot, 47 years of age, who had Canisteo and Savona addresses, has been sentenced to 12 years in a state prison and 20 years of Post Release Supervision. That’s after the District Attorney Baker says a jury found Chabot guilty, for First Degree Sexual Abuse.

The City of Hornell Employee Spotlight proudly shines on Steve Greene, as Mayor John Buckley presented Steve with the Employee Spotlight Certificate recognizing his ‘Positive Attitude, Hard Work, and Dedication’. Steve is an employee of the Department of Public Works and you can often find him in the garage performing vehicle repairs and maintenance. In the spring and fall months, Steve may also be found spending many hours performing land application to farmer’s fields from the Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). This is crucial to keeping our WPCP operational, is beneficial to the environment, and cost effective for the City of Hornell.
Tree lighting tradition in Andover continues tonight
7:15pm tonight with Santa, Mrs. Claus, cookies, and hot chocolate!!. Every year, Christmas magic happens all around this little town. A few years ago, we started a new tradition by lighting the Andover Main Street Park tree. Festivities will occur on Saturday, December 2nd, beginning at 7:00 pm with the lighting of the tree at 7:15pm. We will have hot chocolate and cookies for all to share. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be there to help spread the holiday cheer, light the tree, and see the children. This year, we have a special Christmas friend joining our fun.
