New cross raised in Brookhaven
BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (WJTV) – A new cross was raised in Brookhaven on Tuesday, February 27. The Haven Cross is located at 130 Highway 84 East on the property of Easthaven Baptist Church. Construction on the 150-foot cross began last week.
Body of 21-year-old Mississippi man found along side of interstate
Mississippi officials say that a body found on side of the interstate early Monday morning is that of a Brookhaven man. The body of Johnathan Grammer, 21, was found on the side of Interstate 55 in Lincoln County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. MHP said they received a call was received at 6:17 a.m. Troopers found a pedestrian who had been struck and killed, and no vehicles were on the scene.

MHP investigates 2 fatal wrecks, one involving a pedestrian, in Lincoln County
LINCOLN COUNTY, Miss. — The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating two separate fatal crashes in Lincoln County, one of which involved a pedestrian. Cpl. Craig James said Johnathan Grammer, 21, was struck about 6:15 a.m. Monday by an unknown vehicle that was traveling south on Interstate 55 in Lincoln County. Grammer, of Brookhaven, was pronounced dead at the scene.
