Deion Sanders, Colorado Lose Former 1,000-Yard Rusher to Transfer Portal

Sy'Veon Wilkerson, a Colorado running back and former three-star prospect in the 2020 cycle, has entered the NCAA transfer portal. On3Sports' Pete Nakos was among the first to break the news this Tuesday morning.

Wilkerson, who'll enter the portal as a grad transfer, tallied 1,167 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns in 2022 with Jackson State.

He followed Deion Sanders to Colorado ahead of the 2023 campaign.

This past fall, Wilkerson logged 53 carries for 190 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught five passes for 50 yards.

Prior to his time with Colorado and Jackson State, Wilkerson spent a season with Delaware State. There, he recorded 220 carries for 848 yards and eight touchdowns.
