'Grandfather by Night' at Grandfather Mountain this summer now offering 2 event options
LINVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Grandfather Mountain is once again offering its "Grandfather by Night," a popular educational program, to the public this summer. NEWLAND — Following an extended career in law enforcement, Byron Clawson has officially retired as Newland Chief of Police. On Friday, April 12, the town of Newland and its police department hosted Clawson at Newland Town Hall to celebrate his years in service in Newland and Avery County.
