Springfield to begin superintendent search again, as ethics commission investigates board
The Springfield Board of Education is yet again entering the fray of a superintendent search, proceeding with caution due to criticism of their past hiring processes. Board members directed administrators in their Sept. 28 meeting to create a request for proposals for a search firm, with the hopes of approving the document at their Oct. 12 meeting and selecting a firm at their Oct. 26 work session. The district will pay the firm to lead the public input process and search for its next long-term leader.

Through the blowout wins, long days with practice and an end that's far from sight, Cascade has to make sure it doesn't get complacent where it's at, coach Shane Hedrick said. "Every single day we go out to practice, we've got to have practice reps that are equal to or greater than the reps we're going to have in a game," Hedrick said. "Sometimes you have to be kind of a cranky coach because life itself says, 'Gosh, that was easy, so that'll happen again,' but that's not how life works." "You
