In a hearing on Friday, May 24, Martinez appeared in court with his attorney for a hearing regarding a petition to deny him pretrial release. A judge granted the petition, meaning Martinez will remain in jail until his case goes to trial.
Milan Walgreens Armed Robbery: Police release photos of masked suspects
MILAN, Ill. — Milan police have released descriptions of two suspects who displayed an AR-style rifle during a May 12 armed robbery at Walgreens. According to Milan Police Chief Christopher Johnson, police are still reviewing surveillance footage and working with local law enforcement agencies in an attempt to identify the suspects. The stolen vehicle used during the robbery has been recovered in the Century Woods Apartment Complex in the 1300 block of 3rd Street in Rock Island.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - Do you know her?. On Monday, April 29, during the afternoon, a woman burglarized a vehicle in the District of Rock Island, while the victim was asleep inside of his car, police said. The window to the car was open and the woman reached in and stole the man’s wallet that had credit cards and cash inside of it.
MidAmerican gives update on progress following Friday morning storms
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - MidAmerican Energy provided an update on progress made following Friday morning storms that crossed through the QCA. “MidAmerican crews made great progress since the severe storms passed across the territory this morning, restoring over 39,000 customers across the service area. Local crews continue their work and crews from surrounding states in the Midwest and as far away as Texas are enroute to support the restoration. As of 3:30 p.m., we have approximately 9,100 customers remaining to restore. We expect to continue making progress throughout the day and overnight, with the majority of the remaining customers restored by noon tomorrow, and all customers restored by tomorrow at midnight.
