Tornado Damage In Miami, Oklahoma
A brief tornado touchdown in Miami, Oklahoma last night has left some damage. Some homes were damaged and some trees knocked down. Photos taken by Miami Mayor Bless Parker showed trees down and structure damage. There are no reports of any injuries.

JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin school administrators said a malfunction caused a delay in opening one of its safe rooms during Monday night’s storms. Around nine o’clock Monday night, school administrators sent out reminders about the safe rooms saying they would open when a tornado warning was issued or the tornado sirens sounded.

People in Miami are cleaning up damage Wednesday night after a tornado hit several homes just south of town. The Ottawa County Sheriff says no one has been injured. Dana Morisset and her family are shaken up after the storm, but at least they’re safe and feel fortunate the damage wasn’t worse.

Wednesday Storms – Parts of the four states are dealing with the aftermath of Wednesday's storms. In Miami, several homes suffered severe damage while other parts of the city received only minor damage and downed trees. In Monett Missouri, fallen trees have wreaked havoc, knocking power out throughout the city. Multiple buildings are damaged including McDonald’s and Walmart. City officials are saying the cleanup could take several weeks. As of this time, no injuries have been reported.
