SAN MATEO -- Police officers were at San Mateo High School Friday morning following an altercation involving a knife.San Mateo Police said an altercation between two students involving a knife happened at about 9:45 a.m. at the campus at 506 N. Delaware St. The school is currently holding summer school classes.Police said officers arrived quickly and secured the scene for medics to treat the victim, who suffered minor injuries. The victim had been treated by the school wellness staff before medics arrived.The school was under secure campus operations until about 12:10 p.m. to allow administrators to work with the San Mateo Police Department to conduct an on-scene investigation. Police said students were safe and there were no other injuries or threats to the remaining students on campus.    There were no additional details provided about the victim or any suspect information.Dismissal took place at the previously scheduled time of 12:50 p.m.

DALY CITY -- Authorities were searching for an arsonist Friday who ignited a fire inside the Target store at Serramonte Center, causing major damage inside the retailer.The North County Fire Authority  said six fire companies responded to calls reporting the blaze at 02:46 p.m. Thursday.The first arriving fire company found smoke coming from the interior of the Target Store and made an aggressive attack confining the blaze to the area origin.Fire companies remained on scene for two hours checking for fire extension, completing salvage and overhaul operations. The occupants and employees had self-evacuated and there were no injuries to any other civilians or firefighters. The incident has been classified as an arson fire which caused a major loss of the retailer's floor stock throughout the store.

Authorities in San Joaquin County have announced the arrests of two people in connection to the alleged thefts and sales of stolen property. On April 1, law enforcement officials reported a vehicle burglary that took place in the Lincoln Center Parking lot in Stockton. The Sheriff’s Office swiftly initiated an investigation, leading to the identification of the primary suspect as DeShawn Leandrei Allen, who is reportedly a validated gang member from Richmond.
