Data: More Shenandoah Valley residents are experiencing homelessness
The number of people experiencing homelessness in the upper Shenandoah Valley increased between 2023 and 2024, according to newly released data. The results of a January count came at an April 11 event by the Western Virginia Continuum of Care. It found 373 people were experiencing homelessness within the CoC on the night of Jan. 24 and morning of Jan. 25, a 16% increase from last year.
