Repeat DUI Offender Jailed
It is often said it’s not how many times you fall down, it’s how many times you get back up. The adage does not apply to a DUI investigation. This morning at 2:04 a.m. First Sergeant D.F. Purcell, Jr. and Deputy S.A. Fulford were in the Sheetz parking lot at 10 Washington Square Plaza for a complaint. Seemingly oblivious to the presence of uniformed deputies, a black Lincoln Navigator pulled into the lot and parked catawampus in front of the convenience store.
Luray man arrested for solicitation of a minor
FRONT ROYAL, Va. – An undercover online police investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Page County man. On March 20, 2023, the Front Royal Police Department (FRPD) launched an investigation focused on the solicitation of minors in the Warren County area. During the investigation, an adult male initiated contact with a FRPD detective he believed to be a female under the age of 15. The adult male proceeded to send sexually explicit material to the detective.
Dehooge mom and son no longer considered missing
Ten days ago, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office issued a notice that a Ruckersville mother and son went missing. Monday afternoon, the sheriff’s office provided an update that Virginia State Police had made visual contact with Tabitha and Kyler Dehooge on Sunday. Both advised they were fine and were not in need of assistance. Sheriff Steve Smith also said neither are considered mission.
