Philadelphia police locate missing 14-year-old girl

Raniesha Resto has been located safely, police said. Investigators no longer believe it was an abduction case.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Raniesha Resto, a 14-year-old girl last seen on Thursday, April 25, at approximately 4:58 pm. Resto is from the 3400 block of Jasper Street.

Resto was walking home from school, which is located on the 300 block of W. Hunting Park Avenue, and is believed to have been in the area of K and Venango streets at the time of her disappearance. Police say she was on a video call with her mother when the call suddenly dropped. They say she may have been abducted.

Police say she stands 5' 2" and was last seen wearing a black hooded Nike sweatshirt, navy blue shirt and pants, white socks and black sneakers.
