$8K reward offered for information in hit-and-run that killed three men
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - An $8,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for a hit-and-run that left three people dead. An additional $4,000 was announced by CrimeStoppers of Memphis and Shelby County on Wednesday, May 15, bringing the grand total to $8,000. The additional reward money was provided by the family of Cooper Thomez, a student who was struck on a bicycle at Sam Cooper in 2023, CrimeStoppers said.

Memphis men plead guilty to string of arsons at three tax offices, DOJ says
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Two Memphis men are behind bars after they pleaded guilty to arson of three separate tax service businesses, officials said. Dantoni Colbert, 35, and Edward Matthews, Jr., 33, pled guilty to the arson at the tax offices that happened on February 6 and 7 of 2023. The Department of Justice (DOJ) said the buildings were occupied by Washington Tax Services in the Memphis area.
