A newly released list of the poorest communities in the country has been released from the online finance site known as Insider Monkey. They have analyzed recent census data including the poverty rate, median household income, and unemployment rate in order to create a list of the poorest cities in each of the 50 states.
Weekly Safety Report: Stabbing and Fatal Shooting Incidents in DeSoto County, Mississippi
Two incidents occurred in DeSoto County, Mississippi this week. In the first incident, a woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her father to death during a family disturbance. The incident took place at the Interstate Crossing business complex in Horn Lake. In the second incident, a Mississippi jury ruled that two police officers were justified in fatally shooting a man while serving a warrant at the wrong house.
