Dry weather sticks around for weekend
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - After overnight and morning showers, high pressure is building in leading to much drier weather. With that being said, it is feeling a little sticky because of dewpoint temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Overnight we will likely see fog form as temperatures fall into the upper 50s. The high pressure will lead to a great day with bright sunshine and highs in the mid 80s. The first half of the week will be similar with highs in the mid to upper 80s with Tuesday being just shy of 90 degrees. With the warm weather and dewpoints in the low 60s, we could see some isolated thunderstorms bubble up in the evening for both days.
Belpre Bridge, Grand Central Avenue focus of road efforts
PARKERSBURG — The single lane closure on WV 618, the Parkersburg-Belpre Bridge, has been extended through May 24 for a bridge deck repair. Minor delays are expected, however motorists traveling through the work zone should reduce their speed, use caution and follow the direction of all traffic control devices.

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - High pressure has led to another sunny and warm day across the Mid-Ohio Valley. Overnight we will see clear conditions which will likely allow for fog to form once again. It will be another warm night as lows are only expected to be in the upper 50s once again. The first half of the work week will be sunny and warm with highs in the upper 80s to about 90. It will also be a bit sticky with dewpoint temperatures in the low to mid 60s. With this summer like weather pop-up thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in the afternoon or evening the next few days.
