Health department closed for 1 week during office move
Most Toledo-Lucas County Health Department operations will be closed to the public next week while the department moves a few blocks to a new location. The exception will be the Vital Statistics office, which will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Nov. 9, 10, and 12, the health department said. Access will be provided through the street-level set of double doors at the current 635 N. Erie St. location. Online and mail-in applications will continue to be processed as usual. The health department is moving from Erie Street to new offices at 1933 Spielbusch Avenue, which it says will offer improved access and convenience while offering a more centralized layout. “Our mission to protect and improve the health of our community continues without interruption,” said Karim Baroudi, TLCHD Health Commissioner. “We are asking residents to note the new address and closure dates so plans can be made accordingly.”
