Former Alabama cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry shared an unexpected take during a recent appearance on FanDuel TV's "Up And Adams" hosted by Kay Adams.

McKinstry revealed that he considers former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix as someone who can immediately start in the NFL.

"Bo Nix is a Day 1 starter... Bo Nix is the man," said McKinstry.

The two went to the same high school in Alabama, Pinson Valley, so it makes sense why McKinstry is a fan.

If he's right, Nix, who began his college career at Auburn, could provide incredible value for whichever team selects him in this year's NFL Draft, which begins with the first round on Thursday night.

Viewed by most as either the fifth- or sixth-best quarterback prospect in the class, Nix could still hear his name called among the first 32 picks.

But even if he must wait to be selected, according to McKinstry, he'll have a much shorter wait to becoming an NFL starter.
