Seffernick sentenced to 15 years in prison for 2023 standoff
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A Lima man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a standoff with police last summer. 60-year-old Mark Seffernick was sentenced this morning in Allen County Common Pleas Court. He pleaded guilty to five counts of felonious assault; two of the counts had gun specifications, and all five were felonies of the first degree. Ten other counts were dropped as part of a plea deal.

Legion plans Memorial Day service
VAN WERT — The American Legion will be holding its Memorial Day service at Woodland Cemetery on May 27 at 11 a.m. with honors by a combined Color Guard, a cannon volley, and 21-gun salute. Keynote speaker will be Stephanie Renner. A wreath laying will also take place. Soup and sandwiches will follow at the Legion for those in attendance.
