Green Bay Converting hits key milestone in fire recovery | Exclusive
More than six months after a devastating fire amid a historic March blizzard , Green Bay Converting quietly passed a significant milestone in its effort to rebuild and restore its west-side operations. The City of Green Bay in September issued a $21.95 million building permit to the company to rebuild the warehouse at 320 Elgin Road. The site is behind Green Bay Converting's main production facility at 2200 Larsen Road, just west of Interstate 41. By mid-October, Schuh Construction equipment was on site. New foundations have been poured while excavators continue to dig out a trench. Piles of dirt and piping could be seen on the site. The site now is a far cry from its appearance in mid-March when the charred, warped remnants of the building smoldered for days. Company leaders did not return the Press-Gazette's requests for an interview or comment. Building plans filed with the city show a more than 290,000-square-foot building with a similar footprint to the previous warehouse. The building will be more than 28 feet tall. The site work's only just begun, though. There's still a lot of construction ahead before the new building rises from the ground. Not to mention the even longer

A bumper crop of business: The economic impact of pumpkins
NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – Every fall, families pile into cars for trips to pumpkin patches, cornfields, petting farms and harvest celebrations. A new boba tea shop, a closing Piggly Wiggly and more
Welcome to The Buzz newsletter, and happy mid-October! The Halloween season is upon us, and I'm not sure what's scarier – the large amount of business news we've been cranking out over the past few weeks or the inevitable cold front that's sure to hit us soon. And on that note, here's what's new: A new breakfast spot, Hi Ho Burrito, is coming soon to Appleton. The business will serve, you guessed it, breakfast burritos, but that's not all: burrito bowls, smoothies, coffee and breakfast-adjacent treats will be available as well. Next up, Appleton has another new addition as Tastea Boba opens. The business serves boba and fruit teas, smoothies and sweet treats like bubble waffles. In other news, J. Hawkinson Clothiers is wrapping up nearly 40 years of business. The women's boutique, known for helping customers pick and style clothing and accessories, is going out of business due to the manager's retirement. I also did a story on Mystic Remedies, a collective selling metaphysical and natural remedy products alongside handmade products, decor and accessories. Outside of goods, reiki, tarot readings and rituals are frequently offered, as are events. Last up, Stoneridge Piggly Wiggly is closing. I did a story
