Riverside Boy’s Track Ready for State-Qualifying Meet After Great Showing at WIC Meet
(Oakland, IA) – At the Western Iowa Conference Boy’s Track and Field Championship on Wednesday, the Riverside Bulldogs were able to finish in a cozy third place with a total of 101 team points. The Bulldogs featured a total of three first-place individual finishers on Wednesday. Dawson and Brody Henderson were able to finish first as Dawson earned first in the 1600-meter at 4:48.80 and Brody earned first in the 3200-meter at 10:36.31. The boys’ distance medley team was able to capture first with a lot of other personal bests and broken conference records.

Denison-Schleswig Tops Atlantic 6-3 in Girls Tennis
(Atlantic) Denison-Schleswig won four of the six singles matches and two of three in doubles to defeat Atlantic 6-3 in a girl’s tennis match at Atlantic on Thursday. Denison-Schleswig- Kiana Schultz, Abby Gutierrez, Claire Leinen, and Abby Meseck took singles matches. Atlantic- Jacobi Harter and Paytn Harter picked up victories in singles.
Iowa State’s Cyclone Tailgate Tour Set to Visit Atlantic
(Ames, IA) – The Iowa State 18th annual Cyclone Tailgate Tour is set to visit Atlantic at the Cass County Community Center on May 20th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Cyclones Tailgate Tour will feature Iowa State head coaches and staff along with the one and only Cy and the spirit squads. They’ll be signing autographs and handing out Iowa State swag that is free and open to all fans and ages. This year’s tour will vary but will feature Iowa State Athletics Director Jamie Pollard, football coach Matt Campbell, men’s basketball coach T.J. Otzelberger, women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly, volleyball coach Christy Johnson-Lynch, wrestling coach Kevin Dresser, and the voice of ISU John Walters.

AHSTW Boy’s Golf Swinging in the Right Direction
(Avoca, IA) – AHSTW ended up in fifth place on Wednesday afternoon at Nishna Hills for the Western Iowa Conference boy’s golf tournament. The Vikings were able to shoot a 352 as a team and were able to do so for the first time this season on an 18-hole course. Head Coach Aaron Allspach was happy with how his boys took on the extra nine holes and actually ended up playing better with the extra nine holes.

AHSTW Boys Win Final Golf Dual of Regular Season Over Tri-Center
(Avoca, IA) – At the Avoca CountryView Club on Friday, the AHSTW Vikings boy’s golf team was able to win their last dual of the regular season with a 192-230 victory. On the girl’s side, Tri-Center was able to finish with a total of 230. Both the medalist and the runner-up came on the side of the Vikings with Drew Lee earning a 45 while Kaden Jorgensen was able to shoot a 49. On the girl’s side, Addy Reninbaugh was the medalist with 52 and the runner-up was Natalie Ausdemore of Tri-Center with a 53.
