Atlantic Second at Kuemper Boy’s Invitational Golf Tournament

(Carroll) Atlantic Head Boy’s Golf Coach Kendra Henningsen says the team stayed strong and finished second on a cool, wet, windy Saturday at the Kuemper Invitational Golf Tournament at the Carroll Country Club. Atlantic finished second with a 321, while Kuemper defended their home course with a 298.

Atlantic’s results: Hudson McLaren led with a sixth-place 78. Sam Brosam finished tenth with an 80, Roth Den Beste (11th) with an 81, Brady Wood (12th) with an 82, Tristan Hayes (13th) with an 84, and Gage Gross (15th) with an 87.

Axton Miller of OABCIG edged Maverick Schwabe of Kuemper for medalist honors in a playoff. Both shot 70.

Hamburgs’ only player, Keith Thompson, finished third individually with a 73.

Kuemper’s Results: Besides Schwabe, Braxton Vonnahme, 74, (4th), Carter Putney fired a 76 (5th), Kayden Schon, (7th) 78, Jack Lenz, (8th), 79, and Dawson Billmeier, (16th) with a 94.
