State Democratic leaders to visit Sunday
State Democratic leaders including party chairwoman Anderson Clayton and Secretary of State Elaine Marshall will visit Greenville Sunday for a listening session and meet-and-greet. The 6:30 p.m. event is part of the party’s statewide Rural Listening Tour ahead of November’s general election. Hosted by Clayton, the tour brings statewide Democratic candidates to every stop to discuss issues directly with voters, the party said. In addition to Clayton and Marshall, it will include State Auditor Jessica Holmes, state Rep. Wesley Harris, candidate for treasurer, and commissioner of agriculture nominee Sarah Taber.
