Ideas of those who may have been given the cover
I wrote last week about my excitement surrounding the return of EA Sport’s College Football. Despite not yet possessing the game (I have a plan in the works), my excitement has not yet subsided. I never thought I would be one of those people who could enjoy watching someone else play video games like kids do, yet here I am. I don’t know how much of it is me living...

Mitchell Oakley: Forget politics, I'd rather talk about my age
I am not in a thoughtful enough mood to write about politics this week. Last week’s activities took a toll on me. Daily I was reading about how the rich elites of the Democrat Party were cajoling and pressuring President Joe Biden, their aged candidate, to step down and allow someone else to run in November. Biden, as fiery and obstinate as I’ve described before, stuck to his guns and refused to step aside. It is obvious Democrats think he can’t win because that is...

J.M. Biggs: Be ready for great tribulation
Sometimes it feels really overbearing to know all the things that are about to happen in this country and around the world. If only you knew the love that I have for you, you would understand. Death is all over the place and I’m tired of it. We are living in a time when the church should be fasting and praying, but the majority of God’s churches don’t even know him. Sadly, so many terrible things are coming and a lot of people are not...
Celia Stone: Take heart against election fears
Currently in the United States there is a significant percentage of the population close to a state of utter panic regarding the upcoming presidential election. On both sides of the political aisle and places in between, people are predicting doom-and-gloom scenarios if one candidate or the other wins. The growing fear is being fanned into flames on the right and the left with reporting that democracy is at stake, that certain fundamental rights will be stripped away if the other guy wins and that each...
It appears that it is all "in the game"
“It’s in the game” - EA Sports If you read that sentence and heard it in Andrew Anthony’s infamous gravelly voice, there’s a solid chance you were as excited about last week as I was. After more than a decade without EA Sports’ trademark collegiate gridiron game, College Football 25 has arrived. The popularity of Madden is unmatched, but EA’s College Football had a following that was too big to...
