NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School softball team lost 9-2 against North Warren on Tuesday, but defeated Hopatcong 13-3 on Thursday. Catherine Vena went 3-for-4 at bat with a double, two singles and three RBIs. She also scored two runs.
