FAIR LAWN, NJ - Over the weekend, police tracked down complaints of a burning car that "had driven off the roadway from Saddle River Road," according to a police Facebook post. Two officers had minor injuries and were released at the scene. A woman exited the burning vehicle, claiming her child was in the back seat, police said. Teen Musicians to Present Free Music Program with Livingston Advisory Committee for Disabilities
LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Advisory Committee for Disabilities (LACD) is teaming up with The NoteWorthy Project—a small local orchestra made up of Livingston High School students—to present a free music program for people with special needs and their families on Saturday, April 13, in Rooms T2 and T3 of the Livingston Senior and Community Center from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. In addition to playing familiar tunes from family favorites such as “Frozen,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aladdin,” members of The NoteWorthy Project will also provide arts and crafts supplies for attendees to create their own instruments, such as maracas and drums. The teens will then teach the attendees a simple beat or rhythm so that they are able to play along. Two Paterson Residents Injured in Early Morning Shooting Incident
PATERSON, NJ - Two Paterson residents were shot in the early hours of Monday in the area of 20th Avenue and East 33rd Street, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer in Charge Isa Abbassi announced. According to a statement, at around 2:17 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 20th Avenue and East 33rd Street. Upon arrival, authorities found two victims, a 27-year-old male and a 43-year-old male, both residents of Paterson. Both individuals had sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds and were rushed to St. Joseph's University Medical Center.
