Friends of NRA Banquet scheduled for July 27
The annual Friend of NRA Banquet will be held on Saturday, July 27, at the Tillamook Elks Lodge, starting at 5 p.m. Single tickets are available for $75, while tables of eight are on sale for $1,300, with funds raised going to the NRA Foundation. One attendee at each of the first eight registered tables will receive a firearm and the banquet will also feature door prizes, raffles and an auction. Developers eye Tillamook property for workforce housing
Two developers discussed the possibility of constructing 36 workforce apartments on a property to the west of Adventist Health Tillamook with the county’s housing commission at a meeting on July 18. Greenburg Road on-ramp to northbound Highway 217 to close for a week
Starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 29, the Greenburg Road on-ramp to northbound OR 217 will close for a week until 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 5. During this closure, Oregon Department of Transportation crews will reconfigure the ramp to ensure it connects to the new, future auxiliary lane. The auxiliary lane is expected to reduce congestion when it opens in 2025 by giving drivers more space and time to merge safely. The suggested detour route is to take the Greenburg Road on-ramp to head southbound on OR 217 and use the OR 99W interchange to return to northbound OR 217. As calls to Measure 110 hotline dwindle, Oregon pays group $10K per call to answer
Oregon continues to pump $130,000 a month to an out-of-state nonprofit to run a Measure 110 hotline that barely rings. So far this year, the hotline has received just 73 calls from people with Measure 110 citations, translating into about $10,700 per call, the latest data from the Oregon Health Authority shows.
