Timberwolves Head Coach Makes Glaring Admission After Losing Series Lead to Nuggets

Just when people thought that the Minnesota Timberwolves had the Denver Nuggets all figured out after back-to-back wins to begin their second-round series against the reigning NBA champions, Nikola Jokic and company responded with consecutive wins to even the matchup at 2-2.

Following the Timberwolves' 115-107 Game 4 loss to Denver at home Sunday night, Minnesota head coach Chris Finch revealed how his team initially viewed the Nuggets series was going to be.

"We never thought this would be a short series. We thought it was going to be a long one,” said Finch postgame (h/t Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic).

Indeed. The series will finish much later than what most people thought it would when the Timberwolves won two games in Denver to get to a 2-0 series lead.

However, the Nuggets returned the favor and stole two wins in the Twin Cities while also coming away with control of the momentum. The Timberwolves have questions to answer after getting blown out consecutively at home, and they must address those sooner than later.
