Timberwolves Fans Outraged By Controversial Call From Refs in Final Minutes of Game 1 vs. Mavericks

It's never fun when you see points get taken off of the board, especially when those points would have ended up tying things late in the fourth quarter of a Western Conference Finals playoff game.

That's what happened to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night, where a putback dunk from Karl Anthony-Town got overturned by refs, who called basket interference on the play.

In other words, the refs determined that the ball was still "in the cylinder" above the rim, and called offensive goaltending.

The basket, which would have tied the game at 104-104 with just over a minute to play, did not count, and was upheld even with a review.

As you would expect, a lot of fans were up in arms at the call, which left Minnesota trailing late in the game.
