Brooklyn Park police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old man. According to Brooklyn Park police, the shooting happened in a residential neighborhood in the 9500 block of Thomas Avenue North. Police say they didn’t learn of the shooting until the gunshot victim arrived at Unity Hospital in Fridley.

ANDOVER, Minn. – A violent attack in a Twin Cities park was caught on camera.Andover police say a group pummeled a child during a fight Friday night at Terrace Park. An adult ultimately intervened and stopped them.  The victim went to the hospital and is now recovering at home.Anyone who recognizes the attackers in the video is asked to call the Anoka County Sheriff's Office at 763-324-5177.

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The drunk driver who killed an aspiring doctor and University of Minnesota researcher could serve less than two years behind bars. Kenneth Spencer was sentenced Thursday to 42 months for the deadly drunk driving crash in the early morning hours of November 18, 2022. Spencer admitted he was drunk and driving without a valid license at the time of the crash.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. -- First responders raced to rescue a driver who plunged their car into an Inver Grove Heights pond Friday.It happened near Highway 55 and Argenta Road around noon. A number of emergency crews responded to the scene, including the Minnesota State Patrol, M Health paramedics, and local police and firefighters.Police say they pulled one person out of the truck and first responders rushed them to the hospital. No one else was hurt.The incident is under investigation.
