NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nininger Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 8:00 p.m. on August 5, 2024, at the Nininger Town Hall, 12390 Ivanhoe Way, Hastings, Minnesota 55033. The purpose of the hearing is to address and confirm the plan to resurface/improve/upgrade Furlong Trail and Fischer Avenue north of Highway 55 at an estimated cost of approximately $340,000.00, with the Nininger Township properties benefiting from the improvement, being those properties abutting and/or having entry directly onto Furlong Trail, being assessed for one-half of the cost of the resurfacing/improvements/upgrades on a pro-rata basis. The cycling club that brings camaraderie and competition to the roads of Rosemount
Every Saturday morning, a group of about 20 cyclists gather outside of the Rosemount Starbucks for a ride across the roads of Dakota County and beyond. This Saturday, the group completed their Cannon Falls route, with a stop at Sweet Kneads Bakery along the way. The route is a crowd favorite for its rural scenery and quieter roads, said club president Cory Wagner.

To cap off graduation season, Dakota County is offering a free yard sign recycling drop-off service through Aug. 15. Dakota County residents can bring signs made of rigid corrugated plastic and metal stakes to the Dakota County Western Service Center located at 14955 Galaxie Ave. in Apple Valley from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
