MI Dream Home: Rare 50 acre Lake Superior estate hits the market
Loon Call Cove, a Lake Superior property east of Marquette, is listed for $2.5 million and features more than 2,100 feet of sugar-sand shoreline. The 4,091-square-foot home sits on more than 50 acres at 2501 M-28 East State Highway in Chocolay Township, where the property also offers abundant wildlife, according to the listing. Finding that much Lake Superior beachfront in the area with enough land and privacy from neighboring properties is rare, said listing agent Jennifer Cosco with Select Realty. The property also has a gated entrance and a quarter-mile driveway. The property is about 13 miles from downtown Marquette. Similar larger parcels of waterfront land are generally found much farther from a major community, she said. “People usually see 50 or 100 front feet,” Cosco said. “Most people would assume that this was impossible.” The property has a 450-foot seawall built in 2024, with shallow sandbars along the shoreline.
