A few rounds of thundershowers into Mother’s Day weekend
After a chilly and sunny morning clouds increase ahead of our next cold front. Scattered rain showers and thundershowers will move into this afternoon across the west and track east by tonight. Another front comes on Sunday. We start off Mother’s Day with a few showers. Then, a line of thunderstorms develops in the afternoon, which could produce heavy rain and hail. The pattern is trending dry Monday through Wednesday.
Rain & Thundershowers return before a dry stretch
Our next system moves in tomorrow with a cold front. A round of light rain showers moves in the morning. Then, there’s a break for a few hours before storms develop. They’ll fire up along a cold front in the central U.P. around mid-afternoon and track southeast by the evening. An isolated storm could produce gusty winds and hail. The pattern remains dry with more sunshine early next week through Wednesday. By Thursday another system will bring more rain and thundershowers, which could continue into next Saturday.

To help them prepare, Superior Chapter Harley Owners Group (HOG) is hosting a Blessing of the Bikes ceremony on Saturday with Bald Eagle Harley Davidson. Rain clears to cooler air followed by an active trend
An area of low pressure is moving across the Southern U.P. early this morning. As it tracks east the rain will gradually end by around midday. Slightly cooler air will follow for a couple of days and with clearing out overnight temps could drop into the 30s. A cold front moves in Friday into Saturday and light rain showers will move into the Western U.P. by mid-afternoon. Scattered showers will continue into Saturday morning. Rain chances have increased for Sunday as models hint at another front coming in earlier.
