UPPER MICHIGAN, Mich. (WLUC) - State and county agencies in the U.P. are preparing for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday. It’s a day dedicated to safely disposing of leftover medications to prevent misuse. U.P. health and law enforcement organizations are accepting unused medications to properly dispose of them.

Munising students embrace ‘be nice’ initiative
MUNISING, Mich. (WLUC) - In Munising, middle and high school students are trying to bring more attention to suicide prevention with a new program. On a wall in the lobby of Munising High school are positive and negative labels or stereotypes students at Munising High School have been called in their lifetime. This was part of an activity created by the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan’s Be Nice program.
