NOMAD bringing music from Husbands, Pretty Jane, and The Casper Fight Scene to NMU April 4th
A Northern Michigan University student organization's mission is to bring you music you may not have heard. Northern Michigan Artist Discovery, or NOMAD, has brought multiple up-and-coming artists to NMU's campus, offering free concerts for students. Their mission is to promote local and underground music by giving bands a platform to perform on campus. The group is run by a staff of Northern students and funded by the Student Activity Fee. The group has brought such acts to NMU like Cherry Glazerr, Vundabar, and Spooky Mansion.

ISHPEMING, MI— A nonprofit group that helps people of different abilities get out into nature is holding a fundraising event in Ishpeming next month. Erik Conradson is the executive director of Courage, Inc.
