Ishpeming sewer project starts
ISHPEMING, MI— Construction on a $16 million sewer infrastructure project has begun in Ishpeming. Work started near the Marquette County Road Commission at the corner of North Second Avenue and Ash Street. It will proceed to Ash Street, Hickory Street, and Hemlock Street. A recap of NoMAD's "Spring Fever" concert
I recently had the opportunity to see 3 wonderful bands play at our NoMAD concert, here on campus. This is annually put together by Northern Michigan Artist Discovery, a student-led group that works together to bring artists from across the country to put on a concert, free of charge to NMU students. This year, they had performances by Husbands, Pretty Jane, and The Casper Fight Scene. These artists were all excited to sit down before the show and chat with me about their personal experiences, what brought them to the Upper Peninsula, and what it means to perform at a show like this.
