In the Mid Ohio Athletic Conference, No. 7 Firelands (7-4) is at No. 2 Shelby (10-0) in Division IV Region 14, and No. 5 Otsego (8-3) is at No. 4 Clear Fork (8-2) in the same region. In Division III Region 10, No. 7 Tiffin Columbian (8-3) plays at No. 2 Ontario (9-1). Coldwater ends Pleasant volleyball's state title hopes
ONTARIO — The quest for perfection and a state championship came to an end Saturday, Nov. 7 in the O-rena. Previously undefeated Pleasant fell to top-ranked Coldwater 3-1 in a Division V regional championship volleyball match at Ontario High School. Coldwater (23-4) will now face second ranked Meadowbrook (25-1) at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13 at Wittenberg University. The D-V state championship with either No. 5 South Range or No. 6 Versailles will be at 3 p.m. Nov. 14 inside Wright State's Nutter Center. "It was a tough one to take for them," Pleasant coach Kory Ute said of her seventh ranked squad in D-V. The Spartans (26-1) came into the Coldwater match having won two straight regional championships. Also in 2026, they had yet to drop a set in a match. However, that changed Saturday.
