Tioga County Sheriff’s Report
On April 23, 2024, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mandy Hall, age 40 of the Town of Owego, on a Bench Warrant issued by the Town of Owego Court. Hall was brought to the Tioga County Jail Division, where she was arraigned through CAP Court with Justice Hogan and released on her own recognizance with a future appearance at the Town of Owego Court.
Crews Fight House Fire in Owego
Crews were called to the scene of a house fire in Owego just after noon Wednesday. The call came in for a report of a structure fire in the 140 block of Ballou Road. One adult and two children were able to get out, along with three cats. The family's other two cats haven't been located yet.
Sayre woman arrested on drug/endangering children charges

Binghamton Woman Found Guilty on Assault and Unlawful Imprisonment Charges
A Binghamton woman was found guilty on two charges after she attacked another woman in Endicott in July 2023. According to the Broome County District Attorney, Leyska Rivera-Mateo was found guilty of the charges of Assault in the 2nd degree and Unlawful Imprisonment in the 1st degree. These charges stem from an incident in July 2023, in which Rivera-Mateo went to the 400 block of McKinley Avenue and attacked another woman.
Ithaca man arrested, charged with attempted murder
ITHACA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Ithaca Police were sent to a home at the 300 block of West Buffalo Street on Monday, May 6, just before 8 p.m. to serve an arrest warrant. At the scene, police found 26-year-old Devante Metz, of Ithaca, inside of the home. He was taken into custody without incident.
Endicott Woman Pleads Guilty After 2023 Armed Robbery
An Endicott woman who was involved in an armed robbery in March 2023 has pleaded guilty. According to the law office of Jackson Bergman LLP, Kristin Silvanic pleaded guilty Monday to the charge of Attempted Burglary in the 2nd degree. She had initially been charged with Robbery in the 1st and Criminal Solicitation in the 2nd.
