SAYRE, Pa. ( WETM ) — A Sayre woman was arrested on Tuesday after police said she was involved in the making and owning of several drugs inside of a home in the borough.

According to a criminal complaint released by the Bradford County Court, 32-year-old Samantha L. Denny was arrested on Tuesday, May 7, on several drug charges regarding activity at a home on Draper Street.

Denny was arrested on the following charges:

    • One count of manufacturing of a controlled substance, a felony.
    • Two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a grade one misdemeanor.
    • One count of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
    • One count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

The report states that on April 28, police arrested 32-year-old Wyatt Yanney at the home on Draper Street. Following his arrest police searched the home and said they located several drugs including meth and psilocybin mushrooms.

Police said that Denny or the children weren’t home at the time of the original raid, but indicated that one of the bedrooms inside the home had evidence of children being there and having slept there. Police made reason to believe that Denny slept in the other bedroom with Yanney.

The report states that police felt that due to the drugs and paraphernalia in plain view throughout the home, there was no way that Denny was not aware of the drug situation, or the fact her kids were subject to the items.

Police said in the report that two phones were taken from the adult bedroom, claiming one belonged to Denny and that it was on the computer desk in proximity to the narcotics and paraphernalia, that phone is awaiting a search warrant to be looked through.

Denny was arrested and processed before being taken to the Bradford County Correctional Facility. The documents state that Denny is being held on $100,000 bail and has a hearing set for May 21.
