Four of LSU’s top 2025 prospects took the court on Friday in Memphis to begin their Nike EYBL season. All four got a win and showed what makes them exciting prospects as they enter their final summer before heading to college.

We’re going to review how they played, their general recruiting position, and how they feel about LSU. Let’s get into it.

Jamier Jones

6’6” wing, from Sarasota, Florida

Jones was the best player I got to see play on Friday. The No. 18 player in the 2025 class put his athleticism on display with several high flying dunks, blocks, and deflections in a convincing win for the Florida Rebels. He makes enough jumpers to keep defenders honest, but it’s not a strength at the moment. He can handle the ball, has a great feel and is certainly deserving of the lofty top 20 ranking he has on the On3 Industry Rankings.

Jones released his top six on Friday as well, with Ohio State, Houston, South Carolina, LSU, Kansas, and Providence as his final schools, with a decision coming on May 12, On3’s Joe Tipton reported. He’s taken an unofficial visit to LSU and raved about his relationship with the Tigers’ coaching staff. Have to feel good about where LSU stands right now.

“It’s good, I chop it up with coach Kaine every day,” Jones said. “He’s a great guy. LSU is one of my top schools for sure. The unofficial last year was dope. The football game was great. The fans were crazy and it was a great experience.”

Jalen Reece

5’10” point guard from Orlando, Florida

Reece was dynamic in Friday’s game alongside Jones and their chemistry helped ignite the Florida Rebels to a 20+ point win. Reece has a tight handle, excellent vision, and is a capable 3-point shooter, hitting a pair of triples. The defensive side of the ball also showed flashes with good strength and instincts.

Reece is ranked as the No. 84 player in the nation on the On3 industry rankings and is someone LSU has become increasingly interested in in 2024. He has offers from LSU, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Providence, and others so far.

“It’s been a good relationship,” Reece said. “They talk to me every week and stay in touch a lot. The unofficial visit was great, we went to the football game, ate, chilled, it was good.”

Shelton Henderson

6’6″ wing from Houston, Texas.

Henderson is an awesome athlete with a long wingspan and terrific potential, as evident from his top 50 ranking in the class. The jumper will be a work in progress, but he can finish well and force his way to the rim consistently on offense and is a terror in transition. Love his rebounding effort as well. He helped lead his JL3 team to a hard-fought win, making winning plays late on both ends.

LSU will certainly be a team to watch in his recruitment, as LSU, Houston, Texas, and SMU have made early connections with the four star prospect.

“I feel like they love me over there,” Henderson said. “I went on a visit and loved the campus. I love the coaching staff and everything they have to offer. The food was great and I talked to coach McMahon on my trip there and we talked about what I can bring to their program and I agreed.”

Colt Langdon

6’7” wing from Raleigh, North Carolina

Langdon is a knockdown shooter who has incredible toughness and a high level understanding of the game. He’s the No. 80 player in the class on On3, but 122nd in the On3 Industry Rankings. He was in and out of the lineup due to matchups on Friday, but helped his Team United squad get a two-point win to start the EYBL season.

Langdon has plenty of east coast teams interested in him, but it’s LSU that continues to recruit him incredibly hard as he enters the summer before his senior year.

“They’ve recruited me for a while, so I have a good relationship with coach Long, coach Moore, and coach McMahon,” Langdon said. “I talk to them almost daily and they think I can go there and fit into their system perfectly. I’m excited to get down there for an official sometime this summer.”
