BATON ROUGE- An overhaul is now nearly complete at the Hollywood Casino. It comes with a new name: The Queen Baton Rouge, the new land-based casino replacing the riverboat. A law passed in 2018 allows the gambling facility to be on land. The $85 million dollar project is only months away from completion.

Fraternity Brothers Open New Restaurant, KOK Wings & Things

Avery Bell, Corey McCoy, Jared Johnson, and Tre’Jan Vinson, fraternity brothers and members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated are the owners of KOK Wings & Things, a restaurant specializing in chicken wings and loaded fries. They also sell a variety of appetizers, fish, and shrimp. KOK is a acronym for Kitchen On Klinton. The owners began their restaurant journey on Clinton street. The use a stylistic “K” as an homage to Kappa Alpha Psi.

Walsh’s novel, The Big Door Prize was published in 2020. Shortly after the book was published, Walsh was given the opportunity to turn his novel into a comical series on AppleTV+.
