Accused drug dealer arrested after multi-home drug bust
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A drug bust by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office leads to the arrest of a 29-year-old Baton Rouge man. According to EBRSO, over the past two months, detectives with EBRSO narcotics, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office and the DEA were investigating Bernard Kinchen, 29. Kinchen was identified as a distributor of pressed fentanyl pills. Detectives conducted multiple undercover purchases from Kinchen. Agents were then able to get an arrest warrant for Kinchens and search warrants for multiple locations.
Man arrested in connection with deadly Baton Rouge shooting

On November 11, 2022, police responded to the 11000 block of Boardwalk Drive and found Hentrell Johnson, 24, shot to death, investigators said. The shooting happened around 2:53 a.m.

BATON ROUGE - Deputies seized thousands of lethal fentanyl pills and and made multiple arrests after a months-long probe into drug activities that involved multiple agencies. The East Baton Rogue Sheriff's Office said the Thursday that the bust centered around suspected dealer Bernard Kinchen. Deputies got a warrant for Kinchen after conducting multiple undercover purchases of pressed fentanyl.

An inmate at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison died after using a cloth to hang himself Wednesday, the sheriff's office said. Kaddarius Cage, 28, was in jail on a count of attempted second-degree murder, accused of stabbing his stepfather on May 19, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said Thursday.
