At the end of four terms, 16 years into his tenure as Gonzales’ Chief of Police, it is time for Sherman Jackson to go. The latest word is that Jackson will seek a fifth term on November 5, his hand-picked successor yet to move into Gonzales (and Tyson Dennis has little chance at winning the top law enforcement job in any event). Jackson has ignored his oath, and we will support his opponent(s) however possible in order to forcibly retire Jackson.

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, the arrests and drug seizures were part of an investigation into a poly-narcotics distributed, identified as K-Shon Ringo. During their investigation, deputies identified a home that was allegedly used by the suspect to conceal and distribute narcotics in East Baton Rouge Parish.
