Fort Valley (Ga.) Houston County four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph decommitted from Florida on April 18. He is currently leaning towards committing at the start of August or during his senior season.

Heading into the summer, Florida State , LSU , and Memphis have made big moves for Joseph. The 6-foot-3, 280-pound recruit is set to take official visits to LSU (May 31-June 2), Memphis (June 7-9) and Florida State (June 21-23).

“They are the three main schools that are constantly involved in my recruitment,” Joseph told On3.

Florida State, LSU and Memphis is on top of Joseph’s list

Florida State : “FSU has a brotherhood and that is something that I could be around. My cousin, Terrence Ferguson , is there. He’s been telling me a lot about the school and him being in the program means a lot.”

“My connection with coach Alex Atkins is like a father-son relationship,” he added. “Him and coach Mike Norvell , both of them are guys that you would love to be around every day.”

LSU : “I like what LSU produces academically and on the field. Coach Brad Davis produces offensive linemen. There is something about LSU.”

Memphis : “I am interested in Memphis because of the good thoughts and feelings from my friend, Antwann Hill , towards Memphis. AJ and I have a close bond and we are thinking about playing college football together. He told me that Memphis is a great school and he feels like he could fit there. I was like, ‘I’ll go check it out.’ He put a word in and I got the offer. There is constant communication from them every day.”

“I have been talking with coach Ryan Silverfield and the whole staff,” he added.

Joseph may take some other visits as well

Florida State, LSU and Memphis certainly have Joseph’s attention, but he is also intrigued by a few other programs. The No. 26 player in Georgia has not ruled out taking visits to Auburn , Georgia Tech , Ole Miss and USC .

“I have learned to face adversity and take everything slow in the process instead of rushing the process because I still have another year of high school football,” said Joseph, the No. 174 overall prospect and No. 12 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking . “Being around people that are going through this process has allowed me to learn.”
