Entrance Interview: Purdue 2024 DB Koy Beasley

No member of Purdue’s 2024 class may be more touted than Koy Beasley .

Beasley is a dynamic and versatile athlete with speed to burn. He is slated to begin his Purdue career as a defensive back, joining a robust collection of secondary players in its 2024 class: Earl Kulp , Luke Williams , Hudauri Hines , and D’Mon Marable . But Beasley also could figure in on offense and in the return game, too.

“I feel like the staff, the coaching, my relationship with the coaches made Purdue the best fit. I feel like they’re really building something special at Purdue. I just want to be a part of that.”

The 5-11, 180-pound Beasley is a four-star prospect from LaSalle High in Cincinnati who tabbed the Boilermakers over offers from Wisconsin and Pitt, among others, joining Ryan Walters ‘ program.

“It was fun, it was stressful. It was a little bit of both,” Beasley told On3 about the recruiting process. “It was a long process, I had a lot of schools. I’m really glad to get over it and really find a place that was for me. The best fit for me, I believe.”

Beasley is set to move to campus later this month to begin his Boilermaker career.

“Coach Walters, I feel like he can really build Purdue and lead them to championships,” Beasley said. “He’s a defensive-minded coach, he helps develop guys. He cares about you and he wants to win, so I really like that.”
